Town of Franklin HUD Informational Meeting

January 25, 2006

The Town of Franklin held an informational meeting regarding the upcoming submission of a Community Development Block Grant on January 25, 2006 at 6pm at the Franklin Town Hall.

Lauren LeFebvre, Deputy Town Clerk, called the meeting to order at 6pm and gave the floor to Tim Worthington, Friends of the North Country representative.

The representative of Friends of the North Country explained the submission process which requires the application be submitted in April and, if the grant is successful, the town will be notified in early fall 2006. Funds will not be available for use until the spring of 2007.

Income guidelines were discussed. It was sited that a family of four would have to have an income of less than $39,900 per year to qualify. It was also established that those who have previously received HUD assistance more than 3 years prior are also eligible.

Those with further questions were encouraged to contact Friends of the North Country.

The informational meeting was adjourned at 6:40pm.
